Studio
owner Bob Kirschner established City Sound
Productions in 1986 as a dual purpose personal production/commercial
studio. Bob is a sound mixer/producer/engineer, keyboard player
and composer, with a strong background in electronic music, analog
synthesis, progressive rock, funk and blues-rock. He has been
working in the music and sound since 1983, and has worked with
Yoko Ono, Bill Laswell, Jamaladeen Tacuma, Vernon Reid, Men Of
Vizion, Garland Jeffreys, Maxi Priest, as well as many local
independent artists and producers. He was keyboard player for
New York bands The Uptown Atomics and The Fluid Foundation (with

was composer and performer for Paradise Opera, a NYC theater
company that produced performances including modern remakes of
Madame Butterfly and La Boheme, and "Trash Really" an electronic
music performance based on virtual reality.
Bob began working
in audio post in the mid '90's, coinciding with the expansion of
Downtown Avid, one of the first non-linear video editing companies
which was started by his wife Diane Brown. He has worked as mixer
and sound designer on spots and long form programs broadcast on
FOX, CNN, ESPN, YES Network, Food Network, Oxygen Network, Bravo,
MSG Network, and NHK Japan. He has worked on numerous independent
features and shorts for theatrical and festival release, and has
mixed projects in 5.1 surround sound for DVD.
Bob's first solo
album of instrumental electronica/ambient music has just been released. It is titled "Sonic Snow". |
